Veterans

The Historic Saugeen Métis (HSM) proudly honour the many veterans from our community who have served Canada in times of war, peacekeeping, and domestic duty. Our veterans are descendants of Lake Huron watershed Métis families who lived, fished, hunted, trapped, and harvested along the Bruce Peninsula and Lake Huron shoreline.

From the First and Second World Wars to modern-day missions, HSM veterans have carried forward a long tradition of service, courage, and commitment. Their dedication reflects the strength, resilience, and pride of our Métis heritage, and their sacrifices continue to inspire future generations.
